For decades, the showroom at this historic Chichester address was known as Smith & Ralier, a name synonymous with quality. When we took ownership, our goal was not to rewrite history, but to build upon it.
Today, Griffin & Co is a proud family-run business. We have retained the traditional values of personal service and integrity while introducing a modern approach to bespoke design and manufacturing.
Unlike many retailers who outsource their work, we are true makers. Our team of three expert jewellers brings over 60 years of combined experience to the bench right here in Chichester.
From the initial design sketches to the final polish, our in-house specialists are proficient in every aspect of the process. Our team is fully qualified in complex restoration, GIA-certified diamond grading, and advanced CAD design, bridging traditional skills with modern technology to deliver perfection in every piece.
When you commission a piece with us, you aren't just buying a product; you are collaborating directly with the artisans creating it.

Our Chichester showroom provides a relaxed, unpressured atmosphere with consultation areas for dedicated attention from our knowledgeable team.

I used to go to the previous jewellers on this spot for years, so I popped into the new jewellers, Griffin & Co, on Monday to get a couple of rings repaired. They were badly bent and very dirty, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Later that day I received a call to say they were ready, beautifully repaired, professionally cleaned, and all free of charge. I was genuinely blown away by the service!!
