Bespoke Diamond Set Bands Journey

1. Consultation

Bring your engagement ring (if applicable) and your ideas. We'll discuss the perfect fit, style, and metal to create a harmonious pair, or design matching bands for you and your partner.
2. Design

Using precise measurements, we'll create sketches or 3D renders of your band. For shaped rings, we'll ensure a flawless, custom-fit contour to your exact engagement ring.
3. Creation

Your vision is brought to life. Our master jewellers meticulously handcraft your ring in our workshop, setting every stone and polishing every surface to a flawless finish.

Frequently Asked Questions about Diamond Set Bands

This depends entirely on the design of the ring.

  • Half-Set Bands: Rings with diamonds covering only the top half (50%) of the band can usually be resized by our goldsmiths in Chichester, as there is a plain metal section at the back to work with.
  • Full Eternity/Set Bands: Rings with diamonds set all the way around are extremely difficult, and often impossible, to resize without damaging the setting or affecting the spacing of the stones.
    For this reason, we highly recommend visiting our South Street showroom to have your finger professionally measured before ordering a full diamond-set band to ensure a perfect fit from the start.

We pride ourselves on using high-quality diamonds that offer exceptional sparkle.

For our standard diamond-set bands, we typically use diamonds with a colour grade of G (Near Colourless) and a clarity of VS (Very Slight Inclusions).

This ensures your band matches the brilliance of a high-quality engagement ring.

If you have specific requirements or wish to match the exact quality of your engagement ring, we can source diamonds to your precise specifications through our bespoke service.

Yes, we offer the flexibility to choose between natural and lab-grown diamonds for most of our designs.

  • Natural Diamonds: Sourced ethically and perfect for those who value traditional rarity.
  • Lab-Grown Diamonds: Chemically and visually identical to natural diamonds but often at a more accessible price point, allowing you to perhaps maximise the carat weight or quality for your budget.
    You can discuss these options with our specialists during your consultation.

Yes, we stand by the quality of our craftsmanship. Our diamond rings come with a warranty against manufacturing defects. To keep this valid, we recommend (and often require for lifetime guarantees) that you bring your ring to us every 6 months for a free inspection.

During this visit, we will check that the claws and settings remain tight and secure, and we will professionally clean your ring to keep it looking brand new.

Absolutely. If a straight diamond band leaves a gap or rubs against your engagement ring, we recommend our Bespoke Shaped Service.

We can 3D scan your engagement ring and create a diamond-set band that contours perfectly around it. This "jigsaw" fit not only looks seamless but also protects both rings from wearing each other down over time.

I used to go to the previous jewellers on this spot for years, so I popped into the new jewellers, Griffin & Co, on Monday to get a couple of rings repaired. They were badly bent and very dirty, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
