Exploring Designs

It’s time to delve into your jewellery design details! You can view our existing rings in person, online, or via the online builder. Once your stone and setting details are decided, we will start sourcing your unique gemstones!

Create and Refine Design

It’s time for the details. We’ve found your dream stones, and now our dedicated CAD designer is ready to create a 3D rendered image of your jewellery. We can fine tune the design, adding details, and changing your claw style until it’s perfect!

The Crafting Process

Your stunning jewellery is cast, hand set, and finished by our skilled UK based jewellers. We meticulously check every detail is perfect, add any personalisation you've chosen, and then your ring is carefully prepared for its journey to you.

What is the difference between "Court", "D-Shape", and "Flat Court" profiles?

The "profile" refers to the shape of the band's cross-section.

  • Classic Court: The most traditional choice, curved on both the outside and the inside for a "comfort fit" that slides easily over the knuckle.
  • D-Shape: Flat on the inside but curved on the outside. This gives the traditional look of a wedding ring but sits closer to the finger than a court band.
  • Flat Court: A modern hybrid style that is flat on the outside for a clean, contemporary look, but curved on the inside for comfort.
  • Soft Court: A more subtle version of the Classic Court, with slightly less curvature for a lower profile on the finger.
Which metal should I choose for my classic wedding band?

We offer our classic bands in Platinum, 18ct Gold (Yellow, White, Rose), and 9ct Gold.

  • Platinum is our top recommendation for daily wear; it is naturally white, hypoallergenic, and the most durable metal, meaning it won't wear down over a lifetime.
  • 18ct Gold is rich in colour and traditional value, making it a luxurious choice.
  • 9ct Gold is a durable and budget-friendly option.
    We recommend matching the metal of your wedding band to your engagement ring to ensuring they wear evenly together.
How do I choose the right width for my wedding ring?

Our classic bands are available in widths ranging from 2mm to 8mm.

  • For Ladies: 2mm to 3mm bands are popular as they are delicate and sit neatly alongside most engagement rings without overpowering them.
  • For Men: 5mm and 6mm are the most common choices, offering a substantial look without feeling too bulky.
    We highly recommend visiting our Chichester showroom to try on different widths, as a 1mm difference can look and feel surprisingly different on the hand.
Are your classic wedding bands in stock or made to order?

We keep a selection of standard sizes and styles in stock at our South Street boutique for immediate purchase.

However, to ensure the perfect fit and specification, many of our rings are made to order. If your specific size or desired metal is not in stock, our master goldsmiths can typically handcraft your ring within 4 to 6 weeks.

We always advise ordering 3 months before your wedding date to allow time for any final adjustments.

Do your rings come with a "Comfort Fit"?

Yes, the majority of our classic collection—specifically our Court, Flat Court, and Soft Court profiles—are designed with a "Comfort Fit." This means the inside of the band is gently domed rather than flat.

This design reduces friction, allows air to circulate, and makes the ring easier to slide over the knuckle, making it much more comfortable for 24/7 wear.
