The Emerald Cut: The Hall of Mirrors

The Emerald Cut is the epitome of Art Deco elegance and understated glamour. It's a "step-cut," which means it has long, linear facets that run parallel to the girdle (the edge of the diamond).

• The Look: Instead of the fiery sparkle you see in a round diamond, an emerald cut produces a "hall-of-mirrors" effect. It gives off bright, icy flashes of light.

• The Vibe: It's sophisticated, timeless, and chic. It's a statement of confidence.

• Key Consideration: Because of its large, open table and long facets, an emerald cut acts as a window into the stone. It doesn't hide inclusions well, so we highly recommend prioritising a higher Clarity grade (like VS or VVS) for this shape.

The Radiant Cut: The Crushed Ice

The Radiant Cut is the brilliant, fiery answer to the emerald. It was designed to do one thing: dazzle. It takes the elegant rectangular shape of an emerald but uses the "brilliant" faceting pattern of a round diamond.

• The Look: A "crushed ice" effect. It has a huge number of facets that bounce light around, creating an intense, fiery sparkle from every angle.

• The Vibe: Modern, glamorous, and full of life. It’s for the person who wants the elegance of a rectangle but craves maximum sparkle.

• Key Consideration: This brilliant faceting is fantastic at hiding small inclusions. This means you can often be more flexible on the Clarity grade and still have a stone that looks stunning to the naked eye.
