It’s time for the details. We’ve found your dream stones, and now our dedicated CAD designer is ready to create a 3D rendered image of your jewellery. We can fine tune the design, adding details, and changing your claw style until it’s perfect!

My purchase of Bespoke Jewellery @ Griffin & Co

I recently commissioned a bespoke natural 1.8 carat diamond trilogy ring and a pair of diamond studded huggie style earrings. It was not an impulse purchase and took several weeks to conclude.

I chose to go along the bespoke route rather than buy ready made pieces because I wanted my ring and earrings to complement the jewellery I already owned & wore on a daily basis.

After an initial consultation with Erin, a member of Cian’s team, I did extensive research online. Buying diamonds is a complex affair - there are so many factors to consider when choosing natural diamonds - size, cut, colour, clarity etc. All of these can affect not only the price, but also appearance.

Having educated myself, to an albeit basic level, I was able to better judge Cian’s input about design, quality and price. I was impressed by his provision of a detailed breakdown of costings & computer generated photographic images. This information enabled me to evolve the jewellery design, to decide which diamonds to specify and the price to pay.

Cian then sourced the diamonds from his London supplier and arranged for his Emsworth workshop to create a 3D silicon model of the ring. This meant I could try the image of my imagination on my actual finger. Subsequenty, I did slightly change the ring setting, so it was a really useful part of the bespoke process. Finally I was able to place my order. Cian & his team had been very patient.

My combined bespoke purchase of a ring and earrings took about a month to complete: time to obtain the GIA certification I stipulated for the trilogy ring diamonds, for the jewellery pieces to be actually crafted and for them to be sent away for hallmarking.

Could I have ordered direct from an online supplier and paid a cheaper price? In theory, yes. But I didn’t feel I could trust the integrity of such a source for a product as complex & nuanced as natural diamonds. And how could I have faith in the quality of the jewellery workmanship if I bought online?

No, having benefited from Cian’s knowledge of gemstones and advice on jewellery design, I decided instead to accept the fair price we negotiated & give Griffin & Co my order.

I am delighted with both my trilogy ring & diamond earrings. And I know if I ever need to resize my ring or I want to have the jewellery cleaned or checked for security of settings or clasp, Griffin & Co will willingly provide this as part of their after sales service.

I have no hesitation in recommending Cian & his team at Griffin & Co for bespoke and very fine jewellery.

I lost the original stone in a signet ring that has been in my family for many generations. Other jewellers, both here and in Dubai attempted to match the original, but failed miserably!
