How to Choose the Right Earring Size

Whether you are looking for a subtle stud or a statement hoop, understanding the scale is key. Use these tips to visualize how a Griffin and Co piece will sit on your ear:

  • For Hoops & Huggies: The most important measurement is the Inner Diameter. Measure the distance from your piercing hole to the edge of your earlobe. Your hoop's inner diameter must be larger than this measurement to fit comfortably.
  • For Studs & Drops: Hold a ruler against your ear to visualize the size (mm). A 3mm stud is very subtle, while a 7mm stud covers most of the lobe.

Expert Tips: For a hoop to "hug" the ear tightly, measure the distance from your piercing to the bottom of your lobe and add 1-2mm for clearance. If your piercing is higher up on the lobe, you will need a larger diameter.
