How does the jewellery repair process work?

It's simple and transparent.

  1. Bring your piece to our Chichester showroom. No appointment is necessary.
  2. Get an expert assessment and a no-obligation quote from our team. We'll explain the work required and the cost.
  3. If you approve, we will securely book in your item and our jewellers will complete the work in our workshop.
  4. We'll notify you as soon as your piece is ready for collection, looking as beautiful as it should.
How long will my repair take?

The time required depends on the complexity of the repair. A simple chain solder or ring resize might be completed within a few days, while a complex heirloom restoration could take several weeks. When you bring your item in for a quote, we will provide you with a clear and accurate timescale for the work.

My ring doesn't sparkle like it used to. Does it need a repair?

This is very common! Over time, daily wear, lotions, and soaps can build up on a ring and block light, making it look dull. This often doesn't need a "repair" but rather a professional clean and polish. We can safely remove the build-up, check that all stones are secure, and polish the metal. If your ring is white gold, we can also re-apply the rhodium plating to restore that bright, white, "like-new" finish.
